About the Role

The HR Business Partner (Manager) is a strategic and operational leadership role within the HR function. You will act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, driving people strategies that align with organizational goals.
This role is critical in strengthening employee engagement, building a high-performance culture, and ensuring disciplined people practices as the organization scales. You will also play a key role in shaping manager capability, improving employee experience, and reducing people-related risks.

What You Will Do

Employee Relations & Performance Discipline

  • Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations and sensitive people matters
  • Lead performance discipline processes including PIPs and corrective actions
  • Coach managers on handling difficult conversations effectively
  • Ensure adherence to HR policies, compliance, and organizational values

Performance Management System (PMS)

  • Design or significantly contribute to PMS frameworks
  • Define KRAs, KPIs, and appraisal structures aligned with business goals
  • Drive performance cycles, calibration, and evaluation processes
  • Identify and resolve PMS challenges such as bias and manager readiness

HR Systems & Process Excellence

  • Lead HRMS implementation, migration, or optimization
  • Design and improve workflows (onboarding, approvals, performance, leave, etc.)
  • Ensure scalability and efficiency of HR processes through systems

HR Operations & Process Ownership

  • Drive end-to-end HR processes with clarity and depth
  • Standardize, document, and continuously improve HR practices
  • Align HR processes with business impact and outcomes

Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Own onboarding to ensure strong employee integration and experience
  • Manage exit processes, analyze attrition trends, and drive retention strategies

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Drive end-to-end employee engagement strategy aligned with business priorities
  • Lead engagement surveys (design, rollout, analysis, action planning, tracking)
  • Translate engagement insights into measurable business outcomes

HR Analytics, Reporting & MIS

  • Own HR dashboards, MIS, and leadership reporting
  • Analyze trends across engagement, attrition, and performance
  • Use data to drive decision-making and business insights

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders and employees
  • Collaborate with TA, L&D, Payroll, and HR Ops teams
  • Act as a proactive, solution-oriented HR partner

Education & Experience

  • MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent qualification
  • 10+ years of progressive HRBP experienc
  • Experience in EdTech, IT services, or knowledge-driven organizations preferred
  • Demonstrated experience working with senior stakeholders and handling complex HR scenarios
